Eva Marín Tordera, PhD
Associate Professor

Short bio

Eva Marín Tordera got the M.S. degrees in physics in 1993 and in electronic engineering in 1998, both from the University of Barcelona, and a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2007.

She is an associate professor at UPC since 1996 where she has developed her teaching and research activities in the Computer Architecture Department. Eva’s reasearch started at the Advanced Broadband Communications Center in 2000, where she introduced a new prediction-based paradigm for routing in optical networks. In 2008 Eva moved her activities to the Advanced Network Architectures Lab (CRAAX), where she is actively working in transfering network concepts to the society (IoT, cloud, social resilience, etc).

She has been member of the organizing committees of many national and international conferences, serving as  local co-chair, publication co-chair and technical program committee co-chair for some of them (ONDM2008, WWIC2011, NOC2012, Saconet2014, MedHocNet 2016, IWQoS 2017).

Eva has participated in national and regional projects and EU contracts from the FP6,FP7 and H2020 programs (Nobel1, Nobel2, E-NEXT, e-Photon/One, e-Photon/One+, DICONET, ONE and PACE, CIPSEC mF2C).

Currently she is working in the H2020 project: FISHY, https://fishy-project.eu/

Currently, her main interest is focussed on cloud and fog management, cybersecurity at the edge, and prediction maintenance strategies based on AI.
