Adrià Asensio, PhD
Assistant Professor

Short bio

Adrián Asensio got his MSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering in 2012 and his PhD degree from the Computer Architecture doctorate programme in 2016, both from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Adrián is currently an assistant professor in the Computer Architecture department at the UPC. He has co-authored papers in peer-reviewed International Journals and Conferences and has served as a reviewer in International Journals. Adrián has also collaborated in book chapters in two Elastic Optical Networks -related books. He has participated in national and European research projects. His current research interests include optimization problems modeling and design of artificial intelligence (AI) -based algorithms and strategies applied to a wide range of areas (from resources management, cybersecurity and e-health systems to novel paradigms arising from a global and changing World), as well as digital twins development to improve AI impact in those areas.
